Source Reveals That Nick Jonas And Priyanka Chopra’s Daughter Was Born 12 Weeks Early

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra recently delighted fans by sharing that they have welcomed a baby together. The baby is their first, and the pair also shared that she was born via surrogate.

Many were surprised by the news, as neither Nick nor Priyanka gave any outward sign that they were expecting. A source recently spoke with the Daily Mail and added a new detail: The pair's daughter was reportedly born 12 weeks early.

The anonymous source told the Daily Mail that both the baby and the surrogate are currently hospitalized in Southern California. The baby is expected to remain at the hospital until she can move to Los Angeles with Nick and Priyanka.

The source also shared that the pair have been hoping to have a baby for a while now, but that their busy schedules have been in the way. They turned to a surrogacy agency and were connected with a woman who had four successful pregnancies under her belt. The source said, "Priyanka doesn't have any fertility issues preventing her from having a baby, but she is 39 now so it's not getting any easier."

The source says that couple's schedules are so hectic they have a hard time seeing each other at all: "Their busy work schedules also mean that it's difficult for them to physically be together to conceive when she is ovulating, so some time ago they went down the surrogacy route."

The source also shared that the pair's daughter arrived quite early, as she was originally due several weeks from now: "The baby had been due in April but the surrogate ended up giving birth on Sunday, so she was very premature."

The baby's early arrival is also putting pressure on the pair and potentially changing their work schedules around. As the source said, "Priyanka had been trying to get her filming all done before the baby was due in April — but obviously this has completely thrown her plans."
