Olivia Wilde Posts Innocent Bath Photo But Bully Shames Her For Kissing Son ‘Like Her Husband’

It seems like people find something wrong with every single thing moms do nowadays.

Breastfeeding in public? Bullies will stare and say you're disgusting. Feeding your baby formula? Strangers will tell you it's not as healthy as breastfeeding. Let your kid run around naked outside? People will say it's "inappropriate."

Of course, celebrities are more used to this kind of public attention than "normal" moms are, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with.

One thing that consistently gets people up in arms is when parents choose to kiss their children on the lips. Just last year, we saw actress Hilary Duff get attacked online for kissing her son.

Now, the same thing is happening to actress Olivia Wilde. She recently shared a photo showing her kissing her 3-year-old son, Otis, on the lips, and people immediately started mommy-shaming her.

Luckily, her adoring fans came to her defense and stood up to the internet trolls.

Olivia Wilde, an acclaimed actress, model, producer, and director, is also a mom of two adorable young children.

The 33-year-old has been in a relationship with Jason Sudeikis since 2011, and the two have a 3-year-old son named Otis and a 1-year-old daughter named Daisy.

Olivia's Instagram is almost entirely filled with photos of her family, whom she is absolutely devoted to.

The actress has appeared in HouseHerDrinking Buddies, and other television shows and movies. She loves spending time with her little ones and celebrating her motherhood on social media.

On October 4, 2017, Olivia shared the above photo, documenting her son Otis's bath time.

She captioned the photo, "Finding hope in this."

As soon as she shared the photo, people began mommy-shaming her for kissing her young son on the lips.

Bullies flooded her with comments about how kissing a child on the lips is "inappropriate."

One person wrote, "Kissing your kid like your husband. It's not good for him."

"Sorry, but see if she'll still kiss you like that in 10 or 12 years," wrote another.

Someone else said, "Yeah but it's gross."

Within moments, though, Olivia's fans came to her defense, explaining that kissing a child on the lips shouldn't be sexualized.

One woman wrote, "I can feel the love in this picture. So beautiful! The love of a mother for her children can truly change the world. Thank you for sharing such an intimate, loving moment."

Another fan wrote, "This makes my heart happy. In such a dark time there is light in love and our children. Love this."

"This is a beautiful photo showing the love you have for your child. I'm sorry that people feel the need to criticize you for being a loving parent," said another woman.

Although there were a few more mommy-shaming comments, Olivia's fans immediately shut those people down.

Almost every comment on the photo now is about how great of a mother Olivia is and how people should never stop showing outward love to their children.

Last year, another photo of Olivia and Otis sparked a similar controversy, but now Olivia is making it clear she doesn't care about what the haters have to say — she's going to love her kids the way she sees fit.

What do you think of this photo?
