Will Meghan Markle's family drama ever end? In case you haven't heard, Meghan and her dad aren't on great terms at the moment. In fact, Thomas Markle recently claimed in an interview that he didn't even get a wedding invitation — and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Thomas has also been making a lot of other claims, like that Meghan refused to allow him to make a speech at the wedding and that he hung up on Prince Harry during a phone call. Uh, what?
While the world is speculating about what on earth is going on here, the Kensington Palace press office is scrambling to figure out how to put a lid on this mess. As for Thomas Markle? He's no longer on speaking terms with Meghan.
But even though Thomas claims he has no way to contact the duchess, a source tells the Daily Mail that that's false. The source claims that Thomas knows exactly how to get in touch with his daughter: through her mother, Doria Ragland.
"Despite Thomas's claim that he has no way to reach Meghan, he knows that her mother Doria is in touch with her and Thomas knows how to reach Doria," the source said.
"If Thomas truly wanted to speak with Meghan, he could easily have sent a letter to her mother and asked her to pass it along. Unfortunately that wouldn't sell papers or fit into his fabricated and salacious narrative."
The source also revealed the one condition that would make Meghan speak to her dad again.
"The only reason Meghan hasn't spoken to her father yet is because she's yet to hear from him in a respectful manner. Thomas is speaking to the press more than he's reached out and spoken to his own daughter."
So basically, Meghan is waiting for her dad to reach out to her directly. Meanwhile, Thomas is probably waiting for a call from her.
For all our sakes, we hope somebody makes a phone call soon.
Remember when we all thought Thomas Markle was just a cute, unassuming American dad?
Things went awry when it was revealed that Thomas staged the above photo for the paparazzi.
According to last weekend's interview, Thomas had a tense phone call with Prince Harry about the staged photo.
Earlier, Thomas had insisted that the photos were not staged. So when it came out that Thomas had indeed collaborated with paparazzi, Harry allegedly said, "If you had listened to me this never would have happened."
Thomas wasn't too keen on being spoken to that way. So he says he hung up on Harry. (!!!)
Thomas also claims that he never even received a wedding invitation or announcement.
"I never got a wedding invitation. At first I thought, 'That's OK, because I'm part of the wedding,' but I would have loved to have had an invitation to put in a frame."
"I asked Meghan to send invitations to all my family. I told her they wouldn't be able to come because they would never be able to afford the flight but that it would be a nice gesture on her part. Of course that didn't happen."
Unlike Thomas, Meghan's mother Doria attended the wedding and was welcomed by the royal family. The mother-daughter duo spent the night at Cliveden House before the wedding.
But now it looks like Doria is the one person who can connect Meghan and Thomas to each other again.
