Pamela Anderson Says Infamous Video Footage Of Her And Tommy Lee Was ‘Not A Sex Tape’

Pamela Anderson may choose to live her life further from the spotlight these days, but no one is forgetting her breakout role. The actress rose to superstardom in the '90s as CJ Parker on Baywatch. While Pamela's fame has become about a lot more than that role, she still has some serious opinions where the beloved series is concerned.

Pamela appeared on Watch What Happens Live alongside Real Housewives of New York star Ramona Singer for some rowdy fun with Andy Cohen. The after-hours show got a bit raunchy when Andy asked Pamela about her infamous sex tape with ex-husband Tommy Lee. Pamela shared an opinion about the tape that she'd never expressed before.

When the subject switched to Baywatch, Pamela had no trouble letting viewers know that she wasn't a fan of the blockbuster film adaptation of the series. The film came out in 2017 and starred Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, with Kelly Rohrbach stepping into the role of CJ.

Pamela Anderson isn't apologizing for her honesty. The 53-year-old actress recently appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live. She appears in the episode alongside Ramona Singer of Real Housewives of New York fame.

During a segment called "Shady as SPF," Pamela was asked about her feelings on the recent film remake of Baywatch. Pam shot to superstardom on the original series as lifeguard CJ Parker. She even had a cameo in the 2017 film.

"I didn't like it," she immediately said of the film, which starred Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, and Kelly Rohrbach as CJ.

"Let's just keep the bad TV as bad TV," she continued. "That's what's charming about it. Trying to make these movies that are television are just messing with it."

"Sixty-five million dollars could make a great movie. We made our shows for, like, $500,000," Pam continued.

"We had the same explosions, the same scenes in the water. That was the fun part, being creative."

Baywatch came up again during the after-show. Andy asked Pam when she had last spoken with costar Yasmine Bleeth. She admitted they hadn't spoken since their days on the show. Then Andy asked if Pam keeps in touch with any of her costars, who include David Hasselhoff, Jeremy Jackson, Nicole Eggert, and Carmen Electra.

"Nobody. I'm not a social person," Pam admitted, which surprised many viewers. "I like my kids. I like my close circle of friends."

"I don't really hang out with people. I prefer dogs … over most people."

Pam revealed that she lost touch with another figure she was famously connected with as well. She revealed that she isn't currently in touch with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, whom she has spoken out in support of on many occasions.

"I was the first person to visit him at Belmarsh Prison, and he's still there, and he's very sick," she said.

"They're letting a lot of prisoners out because of this COVID situation; they should be letting him out. He's in a dire position; he could possibly die in prison. I hope not," she continued.

"I just wish him the best, but I haven't … I've been in contact with people around him, but no, he knew what he was getting into, he sacrificed a lot to give us true information. He's a hero to me, and I just hope people feel the same way."

Another subject that came up during Pam's appearance on WWHL was her infamous sex tape with ex-husband Tommy Lee.

"As the star of a sex tape, what is your favorite celebrity sex tape?" Andy asked. Pamela took the opportunity to clarify her belief that what was put out was not actually a sex tape.

"That was not a sex tape. That was a compilation of vacations that we were naked on," she clarified.

She went on to discuss her relationship with Tommy, which she described as "great."

"We don't talk at all. It's perfect," she joked.

"No, we do … my kids are happy and that's all that matters. They have a relationship now, and that's the best part."

Pamela and Tommy are parents to 23-year-old Brandon and 22-year-old Dylan. Brandon is an aspiring actor who recently appeared on the reboot of The Hills. Dylan is a musician working on his debut EP with band Midnight Kids.
