Paralyzed Police Officer Wakes From A Coma To Tie The Knot With His Soul Mate

When a couple begins planning their dream wedding ceremony, the last place they'd want for a venue is a hospital room.

Unfortunately, that was exactly where newlyweds Omar Elhosseiny and Osiris Negrete exchanged their vows. The Pasadena, CA, police officer was diagnosed with a rare condition that led to his body being paralyzed.

After weeks in a medically induced coma, Elhosseiny woke up and knew he wanted to finally tie the knot. His nurses and other hospital staff helped arrange the heartwarming nuptials right there in his room.

Though the circumstances weren't ideal, there is no doubting both he and his fiancée were ecstatic to finally become Mr. and Mrs. after the horrible medical setback, which occurred just days before their originally planned celebration.

Surrounded by their friends and family, you can see just how much the couple truly loves each other as Negrete gazes down at her new husband. While most weddings are pretty emotional, this one definitely took that up a notch.

I think it's safe to say there wasn't a dry eye in the room that day. I know my eyes watered up while hearing their bittersweet love story. Elhosseiny's fellow officers and friends also set up a GoFundMe account to help with his hospital bills and starting his new life with Negrete.

The staff says that following the ceremony, Elhosseiny began to show signs of improvement. Here's hoping he continues to thrive with his beautiful bride by his side!
