Paris Hilton is officially a married woman!
The 40-year-old entrepreneur and reality star has found true love in venture capitalist Carter Reum, also 40. The two exchanged vows in front of a plethora of family and friends at the $60 million Bel-Air estate of her late grandfather, Barron Hilton.
The ceremony was just the first part of this three-day wedding celebration. On Friday night, the newlyweds will have a carnival on the Santa Monica Pier with guests. On Saturday, a black-tie event will bring the celebrations to a close. It's all being captured on camera for Paris' 13-part docuseries, Paris in Love, now streaming on Peacock.
Paris Hilton has been engaged before, but everyone in her orbit knew that with Carter Reum, things were different. Paris and Carter first got to know each other as friends 15 years ago before reconnecting in late 2019.
"Carter and I have been friends for over 15 years," the bride told Vogue.
"We stayed in each other’s lives over time, and we reconnected at a Thanksgiving get-together in 2019," she continued.
"From that night, I felt the spark, and the rest is history."
Carter proposed to Paris in February 2021 when they were on a vacation to celebrate both their 40th birthdays.
"That day, we had a photoshoot planned by the beach, and instead he proposed," she shared.
"It was so romantic! All of my closest family and friends surprised me too and flew out for the moment."
It's been a busy year for Paris, but she's thriving in this exciting chapter in her life.
"On top of wedding planning, I launched my new media company, 11:11 Media, this year and am in the process of filming and producing a TV show with Peacock called Paris In Love," she told Vogue.
"Thankfully, my mom and groom have a lot of opinions on the planning, so I let them take the reins."
The numbers 11/11 have a special significance to Paris, which is how the couple chose it as a wedding date.
"11:11 has always been my favorite time of day," the bride shared.
"It's my reminder to make a wish and be open to miracles. This date is special to Carter and I — it represents our love story, which both of us knew was meant to be."
The ceremony was packed with celebrities from different areas of the bride's and groom's lives. The bride's aunts, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Kyle Richards and Kim Richards, were both in attendance. Friends including Bebe Rexha, Emma Roberts, Kim Kardashian West, and Ashley Benson also came out to celebrate the couple.
Paris walked down the aisle in a custom Oscar de la Renta gown as Kim Petras sang "I Can't Help Falling in Love." Paris' maid of honor was sister Nicky Hilton Rothschild. Sisters-in-law Tessa Hilton and Halle Reum — as well as cousins Brooke Brinson, Whitney Davis, and Farrah Aldjufrie — served as bridesmaids.
The ceremony was followed by a dinner where guests were treated to a performance by Demi Lovato. The couple shared their first dance to Bruno Mars' "Just The Way You Are."
"Throughout the years, I was always searching for my partner," Paris reflected in comments the morning after the wedding.
"Not only someone to share my dreams with but a man to build a future together. I was looking for my equal. Someone who wasn't fascinated with 'Paris Hilton' but instead, someone who saw the real me and loved me for me. Someone who is loving and kind. Someone to be a father to my future children. I'm so proud of my love story with Carter, and even more excited that it's just beginning."
