“I Love It” Parody Tackles Picky Dressers Who Can’t Decide What To Wear!

When I was nine, my favorite outfit in the entire world was a fringed beach cover-up patterned with photos of realistic sea creatures. I liked to wear it over stretchy flare jeans.

Other MVPs of my childhood wardrobe include an XL men’s silk pajama top in a lively paisley print, and a hot pink aerobics leotard imported directly from 1985. Essentially, what I am trying to tell you is that my fashion sense peaked in grade school.

My mom, however tends to disagree. For her, my childhood is nothing but a traumatic blur of perfectly nice clothes from Gap Kids, spurned in favor of somewhat more, shall we say, avant-garde choices.

And now, as a grown-up in my own right, I have to say that I see her point. Kids, even bona fide superheroes like this guy, like nothing more than wearing the most ridiculous thing they own, over and over again.

But, as the parents of 'WhatsUpMoms' demonstrate, it’s not really a bad thing, it’s just a mildly irritating phase that most everyone goes through. Ultimately, wearing whatever they want (within reason) gives kids a healthy sense of their own taste!

Sure, they may end up wishing that they had a few childhood pictures where they aren’t wearing their fairy princess outfit, but at least they had fun getting there. I know that I sure did!
