If you haven't heard (everybody has heard), Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande are getting married. And since the whole world has eyes on this event, Pete understandably wants to looks his best. So he did what any fashion-challenged straight man with Hollywood connects would do — he asked Tan France of Queer Eye fame for advice. Tan told Page Six that he'll "absolutely" be assisting with Pete's wedding wardrobe.
"He asked if I'd help him," Tan said. "The answer is yes."
Pete and Ariana's whirlwind romance led to an engagement after just one month of dating. The 24-year-old Saturday Night Live star made his relationship with Ariana official on May 30. By then, the two were already sporting matching tattoos. They were engaged a couple weeks later.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Tan confirmed that he "just went shopping" with Pete.
"I'm very, very happy for them," Tan said. "I couldn't be more happy. I think if anybody finds love, that's amazing. I will always support that."
There's no word yet on when Pete and Ariana will tie the knot. If their current timeline is any indication, it should happen about 0.2 seconds from now.
But it's never too soon to get your wedding wardrobe ready. Let's be honest – Pete has a lot of things going for him, but a spiffy sense of style isn't his strongest suit.
As a comedian in his early 20s, Pete specializes in T-shirts and hoodies.
And he accessorizes with hats and tattoos.
Queer Eye's Tan France's photo, on the other hand, could appear next to "fashionable guy" in the dictionary.
Tan loves a good hoodie, too, but somehow he makes it look fancy, you know?
Prepping for the wedding isn't Tan and Pete's first shopping rodeo. Earlier this year, Tan took Pete shopping on an episode of SNL.
But back then, Pete was looking for help impressing the family of his girlfriend-at-the-time, Cazzie David.
Pete refers to his own style as "guido trash." He said it, not us!
"It's so funny to walk down the street because dudes are walking by and… Did you see that Derek Jeter commercial? He's retiring and everybody tips their hat. Some dude goes up to me and says, 'Yo man, you gave me hope!' I was like, I didn't know I was that ugly," Pete said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In the same episode, he confirmed his engagement to Ariana.
The wardrobe upgrade is just Pete's latest show of devotion. This happy couple is all about the Instagram PDA.
And of course, there's that big rock on Ariana's finger.
The two have already moved in together. Frankly, we can't wait to see the wedding photos on Instagram – emoji-laden captions and all.
