At first, Stacey Feeley thought it was pretty cute when her 3-year-old daughter suddenly stood up on the toilet, like she was playing some kind of game. But when the Michigan mom heard her daughter explain why she was doing that, things took an unexpected turn.
Stacey says her daughter was practicing a school lockdown drill. She and her classmates were taught to stand on the toilet as a way to hide from an attacker.

Stacey posted the photo to her Facebook page in the days following the Orlando shooting at Pulse Nightclub. Her photo quickly went viral with tens of thousands of shares. That's because the unsettling photo makes it uncomfortably easy to imagine innocent children having to experience such a horrible nightmare.
The heated debate surrounding gun control has gotten even hotter. One commenter says, "It is truly sad we live in a dangerous world. I remember as a 3rd grader trying to pull a gas mask over my hair. Those rubber straps were terrible at pulling at the hair. The drills of going down to the basement and knowing where the fallout shelter was. Each generation learns about fear in their own way."
This little girl's reason for standing on the toilet sent shockwaves through her affected mother. Now, she's calling on politicians to take a harder look at the regulations placed on guns in the United States. "I want them to know that this is my child… and future generations to come," she told KPHO. "This is the society they're growing up in and as politicians, they single-handedly have a hand in shaping and building that society. I can't imagine that they're okay with this picture."
