Most people wouldn't think twice about having a cat or dog as a house pet, but I don't know anyone who would let a huge pig in the house. But Bitsy is no ordinary pig. She was raised by Billie Jo and her young daughter after being very ill as a piglet, and all that care and kindness has turned her into 250 pounds of love. Now, she and Billie Jo's daughter are the best of friends, and if you don't believe me, just look at what she does to this adorable little girl's headband!
Pigs have a reputation for being dirty and stupid, but the truth couldn't be more different. These animals are actually said to be more intelligent than dogs, and they can form strong connections with their fellow pigs, humans, or even other animals, like this little pig who became BFFs with a cat! Billie Jo says that Bitsy is extremely gentle, which is probably why she can trust her around her little girl. It's clear that these two are peas in a pod, and even though they look a bit different, that doesn't stop them from having the cutest friendship ever.
Bitsy isn't the only unusual animal that shares a special relationship with this family. Is it any surprise that this is the same little girl who let a cow in the house when her mom wasn't looking? I wouldn't be surprised at all if she grows up to have a career working with animals. I grew up around animals, too, but this cute family takes their love for critters to a whole new level. I would love to have a life like they do!
