Pink has openly embraced the mom life. It only makes sense for the 39-year-old, who's a rock star both onstage and off with her kids. She's been spending the summer touring Europe, at times with 8-year-old Willow and 2-year-old Jameson in tow. It's just one leg of her world tour, which has been going on since last March and will continue through this November. The mom of two is absolutely crushing working mom life, but let's face it — she's tired.
Pink posted a picture of herself and her two kiddos on Instagram. While Willow stands in the background having a snack, Jameson lets out his best lion imitation, roaring for the camera. Pink sits in front of them in a meditative pose, with her eyes closed. While Jameson's T-shirt reads "I'm not tired," his mama's says "I'm so tired."
"Family Portrait #toofunnynottoshare #mylife #worthit #familyband," she captioned the silly picture.
Pink isn't just a working mama; she's a powerhouse. The 39-year-old performer has spent the last year and a half on her world tour. She gives killer performances that require some serious physical strength, and she does it all with her kids watching from the wings.
Pink has also proven to be super relatable as a mom. She's always trying to find new ways to connect with her kids, whether that means having a gymnastics birthday party or learning to play the trumpet. She truly goes above and beyond for her kids.
Pink may make it look easy to be a super badass mama, but of course, she's just human. When you consider how exhausting traveling with children can be without having to perform an incredibly physical show for thousands of fans, you might come to the conclusion that doing it all can be pretty exhausting.
She summed up her situation perfectly in one picture. In the photo, Pink sits in a meditative pose on a yoga mat. Willow stands behind her, eating a snack and looking unamused. Jameson is next to Pink, letting out a big old scream. While his shirt says "I'm not tired," Pink's says "I'm so tired."
It can't be easy trying to get a moment of zen in amidst the chaos of raising two kids while on tour, but like all moms out there, Pink gets in what she can, when she can. Any busy mom (which is essentially all of them) can certainly relate.
As for most of the more recent posts of photos of her children, Pink turned off the comments for her humorous photo. The decision came after almost every post involving her children generated an extreme amount of negativity. Pink got tired of the toxicity, and we can't blame her in the slightest.
Her decision to disable comments came after the "parenting police," as Pink refers to them, caused an unnecessary uproar over a number of her posts. Pink was posting about the different places she was seeing with her kids as they traveled around.
A photo of Willow and Jameson running around the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin caused great controversy. Many people believed it to be disrespectful that she allowed her kids to play in the sacred space. She edited her caption to reply to those people.
"For all of the comments; these two children are in actuality Jewish, as am I and the entirety of my mothers family," she explained. "The very person who constructed this believed in children being children, and to me, this is a celebration of life after death. Please keep your hatred and judgment to yourselves."
There was also controversy over a photo of her kids where Jameson had no bottoms on. People filled her comments with criticisms of the naked child and even debates about circumcision. "I deleted it because you’re all [expletive] disgusting. And now I’m turning off my comments and shaking my head at the state of social media and keyboard warriors," she remarked.
Pink originally contemplated not posting pictures of her children anymore at all. Thankfully, she decided against that. It would be a shame not to be able to see Willow and Jameson's adventures with their awesome parents.
Once in a while, she'll provoke the trolls. It's her account, after all, and she can do what she wants. On a picture of Willow and a friend running through the sprinklers, she wrote, "Here’s a picture of my child running through water. It wasn’t even filtered. What a waste of water. And no helmet? I hope she had sunscreen," she mused. "If she slips and falls she may be traumatized for life. And her mother wasn’t even there. I was….. gasp…. working!!!! In another country!"
It's great to see Pink taking a stand against everyone sharing their unsolicited opinions. She should be able to share photos of her kids with the fans who will appreciate them without being inundated by critics.
Pink is a kickass mama who makes no apologies for how her kids are being raised and who they're becoming. She embraces the unusual situation her family finds themselves in and finds that the best way through is to make her own rules as she goes along.
