For most kids, birthdays are anticipated and joyous occasions — but Logan's birthdays were generally sad and quiet. You see, Logan is a young boy who has severe autism and cannot speak, so traditional birthdays were never really possible.
In 2014, Logan prepared to celebrate his 12th birthday. In an effort to make the day more memorable than they had been in the past, Logan's mom, Catherine, turned to Facebook and posted a plea to her online community.
Would anyone out there be willing to help make Logan's 12th birthday special? The concerned mother hoped and prayed for a miracle.
Catherine never expected her post to quickly go viral. Not only did strangers from all over the country leave messages of support for Logan, but the post caught the attention of the local police department.
One of the officer's girlfriends alerted the department to the post, and the fact that a little boy was going to spend his birthday without any friends around.
