Police Officers Escort Soldier Home To Surprise His Kids

It was the day Heather and her family had been waiting for for what seemed like a lifetime. Heather's husband, Sergeant Brian Peterson, was coming home from war. The excited couple decided to keep it a secret from their kids so they could surprise them in a major way. Just in time for Christmas, Brian received a police escort back to his house. Their neighbor, Doug, volunteered to film the epic homecoming for the family so they could forever revisit the memory. Since uploading the video to YouTube, it's received more than one million views.

All of the neighbors on Heather's street gathered outside around 6:30 p.m. on a brisk winter night. The kids could tell something strange was happening in their normally quaint, quiet neighborhood. Brian's son explains to Doug that there was a car accident down the street, and that three people were injured… but of course, this is just his imagination running wild.

Suddenly, the police lights flashed brighter, sirens blared louder, and the squad cars were headed right down Heather's street! The kids grew more and more anxious to see what all the fuss was about. Little did they know, their hero dad was about to emerge from his car and greet them in the driveway, surrounded by a motorcade of kindhearted officers.

Every soldier returning from service should have a homecoming like this! If you agree, please SHARE this emotional video with your friends on Facebook!
