Spending day after day in the hospital is certainly not a reality most children yearn for.
Recently, for International Children's Day, a group of police officers in Albania decided to seize the opportunity to do something magical for the sick children occupying their precinct's local hospital.
A few officers donned superhero costumes and rappelled down the sides of the hospital's exterior walls. As they seemingly descended from the sky, their presence amazed every young patient gazing toward the windows.
These children watched in awe as their favorite superheroes came down to say hello. The policemen were even carrying special badges in tow so that each child could have their chance to be a hero.
Despite many of the children's lives being filled with stress, pain, and boredom, on this day, these amazing police officers made many of these kids' wildest dreams come true.

Their mission for the day was to spread cheer to the hearts of these kids whose days are all too often filled with needles, tests, and anxious adults.
For this one day, these kids got to witness their heroes in action.
As every police officer made their way down the building's facade, they made sure to stop, wave, and chat with as many enamored patients as they could.
These officers even distributed special badges to the children so they may also feel like heroes.
However, some children were too sick to come to the windows and watch their heroes arrive.
Each police officer made a few special trips inside the hospital to greet these children at their bedside.
A few of the police officers greeted children in costume outside the hospital's walls as well.
These heroes' fun visit certainly put all sorts of gorgeous smiles on these healing children's faces.
Now, these kids will have beautiful memories associated with their hospital stays that they can cherish for years to come.
