Prince Harry To Release ‘Wholly Truthful’ Memoir About His Life So Far In Late 2022

Prince Harry is ready to tell his life story on his own terms. The 36-year-old Duke of Sussex has announced he's penning a memoir to be released in late 2022.

Harry, along with Penguin Random House, announced the book on July 19. They claim that "for the very first time" Harry will share "the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him." Harry is allegedly working with power ghostwriter J. R. Moehringer, per Page Six, and will turn in his first draft this fall.

Harry also had a few words about his upcoming memoir, which he shared in a statement, per Vanity Fair.

"I'm writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become," Harry said in his statement.

"I've worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think."

"I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I've learned over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that's accurate and wholly truthful," he noted.

The memoir is set to see Harry discuss all the areas of his life, from his upbringing in the royal family to his military service to his life today as a husband and father.

Many are awaiting the eventual reaction from the royal family. The Windsors have allegedly been frustrated with how public Harry and Meghan have been about matters despite their search for privacy in their own lives.

The proceeds from the memoir will go to charity, according to the Penguin Random House release. Specifics on how that will work are not yet available, but Harry and wife Meghan Markle have always centered charity in their work, so many believe it's a continuation of that and may benefit familiar causes associated with the couple.

Royal fans who have enjoyed watching Harry navigate the freedom to speak on his experiences look forward to what the memoir will reveal. It's a long year or so to wait, but many believe the payout will be well worth it.
