Prince Harry Shares Rare Personal Photo Of Meghan Markle, And It’ll Make Your Heart Burst

Could Meghan Markle and Prince Harry get any cuter?! Kensington Palace just posted a photo of Meghan, happily holding her baby bump in the middle of a redwood forest in New Zealand. It's a good photo, but the story behind it is even better.

Unlike any of the usual photos of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, this one comes from Prince Harry himself.

As reported in Elle, royal reporter Omid Scobie (who was with the royal couple at the time the photo was taken) took to Twitter to explain how the sweet family photo came about. Apparently, Harry took the photo during a rare moment of alone-ish time. The couple was at the Redwoods Treewalk for the last event of their royal tour. As always, an entourage of security, staff, reporters, and fans accompanied them for most of the event.

"At the end of our last tour engagement, Harry and Meghan walked ahead of their team, security, and myself (who was the pool reporter)," Omid wrote on Twitter. "We were in the beautiful Whakarewarewa Forest and they wanted a moment to themselves."

It was at that moment that Harry whipped out his own iPhone and took a photo of his pregnant wife.

Kensington Palace later shared the photo on Instagram. The caption included a message from the couple — and photo credit to Harry, of course.

Finally, the lengthy trip is coming to a close. But before heading back north, the royal couple had one last engagement: a walk through the Redwoods Treewalk in Rotorua, New Zealand.

The walk includes a series of suspension bridges between the tall redwoods, allowing visitors to view the gorgeous scenery from the treetops.

Yesterday, Kensington Palace posted a lovely photo of Meghan and her baby bump in the forest.

The post included a note from Meghan and Harry, and photo credit to… the Duke of Sussex?

Yes, the duke himself took the photo of Meghan standing peacefully in the redwoods. Who knew he had such a knack for lighting?!

Harry managed to get the shot after the couple walked ahead so they could have "a moment to themselves," royal reporter Omid Scobie explained on Twitter.

The photo offers the rare chance to see the couple's life through their own eyes, rather than through official press photos or paparazzi photos, which are typically more staged.

It's nice to know that, despite being literal royalty, the duke and duchess are still just regular, head-over-heels-in-love newlyweds.

They've already caused some controversy by holding hands and showing much more public affection than your typical royal couple. But can you blame them? They're living their best lives right now.

They began the royal tour shortly after announcing that they're expecting their first baby.

Prince Harry even revealed the nickname he already has for their son- or daughter-to-be: "our little bump."
