Here’s How Prince William Is Honoring His Mother’s Legacy In His And Kate Middleton’s Home

Being a royal isn't all about dressing fancy and posing for pictures. The titles come with real political duties and jam-packed social schedules. Then there is the perhaps most important job of all: raising the next generation of little royals to carry on the tradition.

It's not as if anyone was doubting that Prince William is doing a fantastic job as a parent, but as his brood with Kate Middleton has grown to three, sources are coming forward to praise the way he's maintained a healthy home despite the considerable pressures of fame.

William learned a thing or two from his own famous mother, Princess Diana, who died at the far-too-young age of 37. Even though their time together was cut tragically short, William learned a lot about family from his beloved mother and has gone above and beyond to emulate her style of parenting for his own children.

There are plenty of adorable pics of William's kids online.

Princess Charlotte, now 3 years old, can be seen here cheesin' before her first day of day care.

This is an older family portrait — in all the wedding and birth excitement of the past few months, George's 5th birthday at the end of June didn't get much attention as it was due.

This photo shows William leading his eldest two kids into the hospital to join Mom for little Louis' birth.

And now that Prince Louis is here, William's duties as a father are bigger than ever.

But he's up to the task. A source close to the family has been gushing about how great the duke is as a dad.

“[William] is a very good father,” according to the source. “As his own father has been. [Charles] has been a very good father to those boys and they’re very, very fond of him.”

It's impossible to bring up William's parents without mentioning Diana, who died 21 years ago.

“[William] can do all the things that he thinks are important for family life and make sure that his children have that loving, caring, fun home that his mother was trying to create," continues the source.

That impact can sometimes be seen in the family's public dynamic.

While they're always as composed as one would expect royals to be, William's attentiveness and patience with the kids stands out.

“At all these landmark moments, [William’s] mother is missing, and it’s sad,” the source says. “But they are creating their own legacy now.”

All this wholesomeness bleeds into the Instagram comments.

Unlike most celebrity pages, it's hard to find many negative comments on the Kensington Palace official IG.

It's as if even the most subterranean of trolls are willing to accept that this family is above their nasty comments.

This is a popular sentiment — while their unattainable royal status sets them apart, their relaxed family dynamic simultaneously makes them relatable.

You can just tell that, when they're not traveling the world and dining on crumpets with the Queen, they operate just like any other family.

And all of that is a testament to William and Kate expertly balancing their insane schedules with raising their kids right — a skill William definitely learned from Diana.
