Priscilla Presley Is Contesting Lisa Marie’s Will That Names Riley Keough As Sole Trustee

Priscilla Presley is contesting a change made to Lisa Marie Presley's will in 2016. It appears that Lisa Marie removed both her mother and her former manager from her will that year, choosing to name daughter Riley Keough and son Benjamin Keough as co-trustees. Benjamin died in 2020.

Priscilla has filed documents with the court that indicate she was first named a co-trustee in 1993.

The documents also state that there are red flags in the 2016 update, including the misspelling of Lisa Marie's name and that her signature "appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature."

The document also states that Priscilla plans to add Riley as a co-trustee once Lisa Marie's former manager steps down. It reads, "Accordingly, in such event, Riley would become a co-trustee with [Priscilla] with respect to the trust and all trust created thereunder."

In 2018, Lisa Marie filed a lawsuit against her former manager, alleging that he mishandled her inheritance from her father, Elvis Presley. Lisa Marie also said she had only $14,000 at the end of 2016 because of this mishandling.

Priscilla's legal filing also argues that the amendment was not notarized and she was not made aware of any changes.

Riley Keough has not commented on the matter, but friends of Lisa Marie have indicated the late singer wanted her trust to go to her children.

A friend explained, "Lisa's intent was very clear. Lisa really didn't feel that Priscilla was doing anything in her best interest."

The friend also told People that Lisa Marie and her mother had no relationship in 2016.

The pair reportedly had a falling out after Priscilla insisted on maintaining a friendship with Lisa Marie's ex-husband Michael Lockwood, despite the contentious divorce proceedings that he and Lisa Marie endured.

The friend also said that Michael was not invited to Lisa Marie's funeral, but Priscilla helped him get in.

They added, "Lisa lived her life authentically … She wouldn't remain quiet when she was being taken advantage of."

They added, "At the end of the day, these are her wishes, and there's no question as to what her wishes were. No one's going to be able to reinvent the last seven or eight years and say no, no, no."
