Wife Says No One Will Remember Her, Then Husband Makes Unforgettable Grave

It doesn't matter what country you are from, what you believe in, or the color of your skin — it is evident to anyone who hears the way Faizul Hassan Qadri talks about his wife that he loved her dearly.

Qadri and his wife, Tajammuli, are from India, where Qadri is a retired postal worker. When the couple first met, Tajammuli could not cook, so Qadri taught her. Then she became a master in the kitchen — rendering Qadri "useless." Tajammuli could not read, so Qadri read her short stories, but soon after his wife could read entire novels and no longer needed his help. This was the kind of woman his beloved wife was.

There was one thing she regretted. The couple never had children — tumors forced Tajammuli to have her uterus removed — and as she was dying of throat cancer, she asked Qadri who would remember her when she died.

“I will build a tomb that everybody will remember,” Quadri told her. And he did.

Qadri built an entire replica of the Taj Mahal where she is buried. As Qadri erected the giant mausoleum, it began to capture the attention of the locals and the news.

The beautiful palace is fulfilling its purpose: creating a legacy for his wife. Qadri insisted on doing it all by himself — it was a promise he had to keep Tajammuli.

“It is a proof of love,” Qadri said. “I have to do it on my own… Everything that comes has to go away some day. My wife is dead. I will also die some day. The monument too might not stand forever. I just wish to see it complete before I die.”
