A young boy's dream came true when he recently met his hero, R2-D2, at a Star Wars convention.
In a YouTube video, a boy is in a wheelchair when a fan-made R2-D2 rolls up. The child's infectious laughter can be heard when they spin around on their wheels, doing a delightful dance at the Star Wars Celebration convention in Anaheim, CA.
The youngster is so delighted when the blue and white robot dances. The two new friends quickly fell into unison. After a few minutes, R2-D2 headed down the hall, beeping loudly and flashing his lights. The little boy sped off down a corridor after the robot, still giggling. (Let's hope he later ran into this pint-size Darth Vader.)
In the YouTube comments section, Chris Lee, who was controlling the R2-D2 in this video, wrote: "This was the second interaction that we had with this awesome kid. He was having so much fun and laughing continuously. Even his parents and some people in the crowd (me included) started giggling uncontrollably. Definitely one of the highlights of this convention for me."
This is a delightful video that should brighten your day, as it did his.
