The world will never know another Whitney Houston. Her unprecedented talent made her one of pop music's best-selling musicians of all time, and she paved the way for many African American female artists.
Many singers have tried to take on Whitney's powerful pop ballads, but only a few have come close to her vocal ability. Just about every singer has belted out "I Will Always Love You" at one point or another, but I haven't heard anything like the original. Until now.
When I came across the following video on YouTube, I thought there was no way this 14-year-old schoolgirl could come close to Whitney's unforgettable version of the song, which Dolly Parton first recorded back in 1973. As you can see in this next video, I couldn't have been more wrong.
Not much is known about the young singer in this video, except that her name is Rachel and she has a true gift from above. Hopefully, we'll be seeing more of her talent in years to come.
