Famous Rapper Joins A Young Girl In Recovery For Her Favorite Dance

Briana Lawson was left with a serious brain injury after a car accident that also took the life of her older sister.

She was being treated at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in Georgia where she underwent several surgeries. Lawson's road to recovery seemed very rocky as the 7-year-old wasn't being responsive and could hardly move.

That all changed, however, when music therapist Cori Synder stepped in and played one of Lawson's favorite songs: Silentó's "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)."

Music therapy, which is proven to help many patients suffering from different ailments, brought a little bit of life back into Lawson. Despite her condition, Lawson was trying to dance as her family had seen her do many times before.

"Those first 2 or 3 days, she would raise her hand in the 'Nae Nae' song," Snyder told Fox 29. "She has prior or past experiences with that song, with friends, with family, with positive emotions and chemicals in her brain."

When Silentó heard about Lawson's love for the song, he also paid the young girl a visit. The two were recorded dancing to the popular song in a very heartwarming moment that's sure to bring a smile on your face.

"Just to be in an accident like that and to just get up and just dance, or anything like, that's awesome," he told the news station. "That's a blessing from God."
