The Incredible Way To Upcycle Old Bottles Into Stunning Holiday Decorations

Holiday decorations can be incredibly expensive. The cost of ornaments, lights, festive knick knacks, and lawn decorations can really add up quickly.

So one of my favorite ways around the holiday costs is to create my own decorations right at home, like with these amazing personalized ornaments.

And when I spotted this easy way to upcycle old bottles into beautiful holiday decorations, I couldn't wait to give it a try.

By recycling used bottles for these simple DIY projects, I am not only saving money and helping the environment, but I'm creating totally unique, one-of-a-kind decorations for my home. They are sure to be a great conversation starter!

These upcycles from Instructables user Curious Tangles are fun and easy enough to make with children – I might try these on my own, and with my nieces and nephews.

In order to make adorable snowmen out of upcycled bottles, this brilliant DIYer started off by creating a carrot nose.

She cleverly colored a skewer orange and cut off the tip.

After removing the label from a used bottle of Boost, she then glued on the carrot nose and drew in some Sharpie facial features.

With the use of some simple foam, she transformed the bottle cap into a cool snowman hat. Pipe cleaners made the perfect arms, and beads worked well as buttons.

In order to make an alternative hat, this DIYer grabbed an old children's sock and some string.

She cleverly cut the sock and tied it to create a cool knit cap.

And the shape of the Boost bottles worked perfectly for the snowmen bodies.

These upcycled decorations were so fast and easy to make, that she was able to create a whole snowman village.

While the results are beautiful, there are also a number of creative ways to transform old bottles.

Old coffee creamer bottles can easily turn into cute candy-filled penguins.

You can also use a bottle of Mrs. Butterworth's maple syrup to create a Mrs. Claus decoration, with just a little bit of paint.
