Divorces are difficult, even if they're amicable. Four months ago, Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth, former Creative Arts Agency agent, announced that they were divorcing after 12 years of marriage. Jim appears to have moved on romantically as he was spotted on vacation in Costa Rica with a new woman. One can only hope this is not a huge blow to Reese. It is never easy to see your ex move on, even if you wish them well.
A source told People magazine about Jim’s romantic getaway. They did not disclose who the girlfriend was, but knew from the couple’s body language that love was in the air.
"Jim was staying with a new girlfriend at the Sendero Nosara in Costa Rica,” the source reported. "They seemed to be staying in a suite, and they looked really happy, just chilling and soaking up that pura vida vibe. It was definitely romantic."
Reese and Jim first met in 2010 shortly after her breakup with Jake Gyllenhaal. Jim rescued her from his friend, who was drunkenly hitting on her. It proved to her what a good guy he was. They were married the following year and welcomed their son Tennessee in 2012.

On March 24, 2023, the couple announced their divorce. “It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce," they stated "We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together. Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter.”
The couple share custody of Tennessee, who is 10. Reese remains busy with her production company, Hello Sunshine, and hit television show, The Morning Show. Jim left CAA to head up the defunct streaming service Quibi. Beyond divorce, he and Reese are also business partners.
