While the rest of us played with My Little Pony dolls and could only imagine having a real horse of our own to play with, one boy in Victoria, Australia is truly living the dream.
Twelve-year-old animal lover Sam Leith has the most adorable new friend, and she is barely 15-inches tall! The boy visited Ballan, Victoria's Riverdance Miniature Horse Farm, where he met an unnamed little pony who was the tiniest of the lot. The newborn may not be the smallest of all time, but she is close to it…and she is easily the cutest little baby I've ever seen!
Farm owner Lee Scown told the Courier-Mail that the miniature foal was so small, she even surprised the breeders. "They are usually 18–23 inches tall so this one is actually quite short," he said. "We [were] told the mare wasn't due for another four weeks but on Sunday morning I walked outside and called her, and out ran the little foal behind her."
As you will see in the precious photos below, the little foal instantly took a liking to Sam and they had the best day ever. Their unique friendship is beyond sweet!

Most kids (and grown-up kids, too!) would do just about anything to have some fun with this eight-day-old foal and her mother.
The 15-inch, unnamed baby girl, pictured with her mother, Bliss, took a real liking to 12-year-old Sam.
She is only a little taller than this book, but veterinarians gave the baby girl a clean bill of health and expect her to grow to about 24 inches.
The newborn isn't going home with Sam anytime soon, but from the looks of their very special bond, I'm positive this is the start of a beautiful, lifelong friendship!
