Woman Loses 9-Day-Old Daughter And Stillborn Son, Then Sister Says She’ll Have A Baby For Her

Nathan and Jesi Gifford had been trying to have a baby of their own for quite a long time. Their journey was loaded with heartache and setbacks until Jesi's sister, Sami Baldwin, stepped up.

The Giffords experienced a tremendous amount of grief, stemming from the loss of a 9-day-old daughter and the birth of a stillborn son.

While Jesi was pregnant with her son, Sami was also trying to have a baby. When Sami went on to raise a healthy baby girl, Jesi realized how the tables had turned for her.

In the video below, posted on February 5, 2017, Jesi recalls: "I remember thinking to myself, 'If something ever happens and she's not able to have children or whatever, I would totally do it for her.' I just never would have thought that it would have been the other way around."

The Giffords looked into adoption, but after those plans fell through, Jesi realized she needed help from her sister to have a baby.

Sami said: "I have two of my own, so I know what they lost. And she's my sister."

Luckily, the siblings live in close proximity, making the surrogacy a breeze.

On October 22, 2016, little Charlie Samantha Giffords was born and handed over to Nathan and Jesi. After all of their hardships, they finally have a child to call their own, all thanks to a loyal surrogate sister.
