At the age of 14, Selenay Dagdelen has the talent and experience of folks twice her age and more.
We've all seen The Voice at least once, or one hundred times, at this point. There are so many really talented people who come across that stage, impressing the professional judges with their unique talents. The best thing about this show is that the judges don't get a chance to, well, judge the contestants based on their appearance. They're picking their teammates based solely on their sheer talent.
Sometimes, there's pure shock when they turn around in their chairs and see what the person who was making all that noise looks like. When the judges turned around when they heard a very classical voice and saw a skinny, tattooed man? They didn't believe that he was the one really singing!
In the Netherlands, though, they have something called The Voice Kids, exclusively for very talented minors. The talent that comes through that stage is just as shocking as what crosses every other Voice stage.
When Dagdelen started singing, the judges all knew right away that this was going to be a real show. How'd they know? Because this teen was about to sing Whitney Houston's most famous song, "I Will Always Love You."
Now, that's no small feat for a singer of any age! Just wait until she hits the note… You know which one I'm talking about!
