Staff Sgt. Jonathan Rhodes Surprises His Baby Girl During Ceremony At Moody Military Base

Earlier this year, a little girl patiently waited for her coining during a ceremony at Moody Air Force Base. She looked a little nervous, but nothing could have prepared her for the surprise awaiting her just around a storage corner.

Clad in a barrette and floral dress, little 4-year-old Madison stood with her arms over her chest as U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Laura Ramos presented her with  two coins and a certificate for her "character and continued resilience," part of a new program called Moody's Heroes to commend the children of deployed Airmen.

Madison smiles as she accepts both, but just before she's asked to pose for a picture with Lt. Col. Laura Ramos, they tell her they have one more surprise for her — one she couldn't have possibly expected.

From behind his hiding corner walks her daddy, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Jonathan Rhodes, home after a 6-month deployment to scoop her up for her ceremony. There's a moment of complete shock that crosses Madison's face before the she says, "Daddy!" and runs to his arms.

And much like another photobombing solider surprise we've seen before, we expect that there will be plenty of hugs and family time.
