Christi Rantis Lally was surprised when she was added to a group text message intended for parents of kids on a soccer team.
But here's the thing: Christi didn't know these people, and she doesn't have a son on their team.
Instead of ignoring the text or telling the members they had the wrong number, Christi decided to have a little fun.
The Illinois woman proceeded to troll the moms and dads who clearly take their kids' soccer games very seriously.
Christi found the resulting text exchange so funny that she shared screengrabs on Facebook.
"I'm so sorry Coach Juan," she says.

Ah, the "soccer mom."
Stereotypically, soccer moms are highly involved in their kids' after-school activities, like soccer and other sports, and they take these activities very seriously.
One woman decided to have a little fun when her phone number was accidentally included in a group text sent to a bunch of soccer moms and dads.
Christi Rantis Lally of Illinois didn't know anyone in the group text, but that didn't stop her from playing along.
"This past week I received group texts BY accident," Christi wrote on Facebook. "They are a bunch of parents and a coach for some kids soccer team."
"Instead of telling them they had the wrong number, I did this."
"I am a horrible person… I'm so sorry Coach Juan.'"
Christi shared several screengrabs of the entertaining group text on social media.
It all starts when one parent sends a message saying Coach Juan wants to meet with them after the kids' practice later that night.
While the parents acknowledge the text with a simple "OK," Christi decides to have a little fun and see where things lead.
"My kid is the best on the team… Just sayin."
And with that, the offended parents spark a heated conversation.
What they don't know is that Christi is talking about her imaginary son.
One of the members question Christi about her statement, but she doesn't back down.
The group hopes Christi attends the meeting so they can confront her in person.
The real kicker came when Christi brought soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo into the conversation.
Perhaps the ridiculous name drop was enough to tip off the group, because it seems this is where the group text ends.
Christi's post has been shared tens of thousands of times. Countless commenters found the whole thing incredibly amusing.
Hopefully, the victims of her trolling can agree.
