Young Russian Girl Performs A Stunning Rollerblading Routine

Sophia Bogdanova is a young girl from Moscow, Russia, who has perfected the art of freestyle slalom skating.

Now, if you’re asking yourself, what is freestyle slalom skating?

It’s a highly technical field of skating that involves using inline skates to perform tricks around a straight line containing equally spaced miniature cones.

Not only was I blown away by Bogdanova’s performance, but I was also terrified while watching. The amount of technique, skill, and practice one must need to do this challenging sport is incredible.

She performs her skating routine to Evanescence’s song “Bring Me To Life," which is the perfect accompaniment to such a daring performance.

I’m not going to lie, I was pretty anxious watching Bogdanova skate backwards on one foot, while avoiding cones that were laid out behind her. Regardless of my minor anxiety, there was also something fantastic about the performance in how graceful Bogdanova’s delivery was. It reminded me of 87-Year-Old Yvonne Dowlen’s Ice Skating performance.

During the routine, she even folds both of her legs over one another and skates on only one wheel, all while not bumping into a single obstacle. Amazing, right?
