Eighth grader Josh Carroll thought it was just another typical school assembly, when he got a surprise of a lifetime.
Just in time for Veteran's Day, the young boy had no idea that his dad, who returned home from Afghanistan early, was waiting for him. Josh's father Lt. Paul Carroll along with the school staff arranged to pull off the heartwarming surprise during the end of the nine weeks award program.
At the very end of the assembly, Josh is called to the stage to accept an award on his dad's behalf for "Service To Your Country." That's when Paul walked into the auditorium and surprised his son. Josh's reaction is incredible and sure to bring tears to your eyes.
