When you haven't seen a loved one in a long time, the reunion can be extremely emotional. And when that reunion comes as a total surprise, those emotions are doubled, and there's nothing that can top the feeling.
We see these sorts of awesome and touching reactions time and time again when loved ones who have sacrificed everything to serve in the military come home after being away for weeks, months, or even years at a time.
Whether it is your husband, sister, father, or best friend who have been away on military duty, you will always have that worry in the back of your mind and you will miss them all the time.
So when they show up out of the blue (like the dad who scuba'd his way to his vacationing family or the son who enlisted the help of local police to surprise his mother), you know their loved ones' reactions are going to be good ones.
The soldier in this video doesn't need an elaborate surprise to bring his mom to tears of happiness, because all he needs to do is sneak up behind her right before she is about to take a photo, and the waterworks and cheers of joy come pouring out.
