Just as Angelina Jolie is revealing new allegations against Brad Pitt, sources on his side are claiming the actress is simply on a smear campaign against her ex-husband.
Sources close to Brad say that her baseless claims against him are the reason he is no longer close to his kids.
According to TMZ, Brad has a "limited and strained relationship" with their six children because of her "campaign of alienation" against him.
Wow.
The source also claimed that even though Brad has continuously denied any allegations of abuse towards his family, his ex-wife has pushed authorities to pursue them. They also pressed that FBI did investigate and concluded the allegations had insufficient evidence to move forward. The source also told TMZ that there was another investigation by the Department of Children and Family Services. That, too, was closed because of a lack of evidence, they said.
Angelina also failed to convince a judge that Brad was an unfit parent, which is why they were awarded 50/50 custody. But despite their custody arrangement, the source claims that it's the actress's fault that Brad's relationship with his kids has deteriorated.
Yesterday, more details about Angelina's claims of abuse against her ex-husband broke. She alleged that Brad got physical with their children on a plane back in 2016.
According to TMZ's source, the actress's constant allegations make it impossible for Brad's children to trust him. They also said that while she has been busy publicly attacking him, he has never spoken badly about the mother of his children in front of them.
In cases like these, it's almost impossible to know who is telling the truth. But the idea that Angelina is making up accounts of abuse completely does seem to be a bit far-fetched.
With everything that's been in the headlines about these exes lately, it's hard to remember that they were once Hollywood's happiest it couple.
