Children’s Wish Foundation Makes A 6-Year-Old Into A Superhero

Think way back to your childhood and try to remember who it was that you idolized when you were 6-years-old.  You may have envied Barbie's life or wanted to trade places with your favorite cartoon character, but at some point, we ALL wanted to be superheroes.

There's something about a hero coming to the rescue and saving the day that everyone admires… and we wouldn't mind all of the positive attention and applause either! Even as adults we may tend to daydream about being the hero from time to time.

For 6-year-old Mable Tooke of Edmonton, Alberta, this is a dream that actually came true!

After battling Leukemia and coming to the end of her treatments, the Children's Wish Foundation decided that brave little Mable had deserved to live out her dream, saving lives and kicking butt as the new town hero ,"Spider-Mable".

Similar to the little boy who became "Batkid" for a day, Spider-Mable got to partake in all kinds of hero activities, from swinging from buildings, to looking for clues, and finally rescuing the victim who had been "kidnapped", Edmonton Oilers Captain Andrew Ference.

Although the day's events were all pre-planned, Spider-Mable became a true hero in the process! Thanks to the attention she gained, the foundation has received a inpouring of donations, so that now other kids can also live out their dreams!
