Sometimes parents have to get pretty creative when it comes to cheering their children up.
If they are suffering or feeling sad, parents will stop at almost nothing to make their children feel better again.
And thanks to social media, sweet strangers are now able to band together and help these parents' plights.
Kind internet users have raised money, given well wishes, and even sent hundreds of letters to children in need of cheering up.
This week, cyberspace came together to help parents with a pretty serious dilemma—their son had lost his favorite stuffed animal!
Eager to stifle the boy's sadness, the parents fibbed that the little stuffed elephant was not lost, he was traveling the world!
To authenticate the story, a friend of the parents took to Reddit and asked users to help fake photographs to make it look like the toy has been enjoying some of the world's most notable sights.
And they did not disappoint, sending over amazing photographs that made it look like the elephant was enjoying the world and monument-hopping with other stuffed friends.

In order to make their sad son believe their claim that his doll was traveling rather than lost, these parents turned to the internet, with their friend asking for people to send Photoshopped images of the elephant around the world.

And users responded with gusto, sending in silly shots of the plushy elephant going everywhere, like on safari at sunset…

Or skydiving at dusk in the mountains…

Making friends with other elephants in the water…

Exploring the Arctic with a group of penguins…

Taking in London's many sights with international plushy toys…

Hitching a ride with a fellow four-legged animal in Peru…

Learning how to cook yummy French food in Paris…

Visiting Lady Liberty in New York City…

And finally hiding among lanterns in Japan!
With the help of some creative strangers, this family helped make their son feel better by showing them that his friend was having the time of his life around the world.
If you love the touching (and often hilarious) ways complete strangers were able to make this boy smile, be sure to SHARE with friends and family on Facebook.
