Bride-To-Be Goes On ‘Work Trip’ Then Reveals A Secret Photo Shoot With Grandma At Wedding

Tara Foley of Austin, Texas, was so excited to marry the love of her life. She went to pick up her dream dress, but the elation over her upcoming wedding was greatly diminished when her beloved grandmother entered hospice care just a few weeks later.

Tara's 102-year-old Nana was miles 1,300 away in Naples, Florida. Nana told her nurses that all she wanted to do was attend her granddaughter’s wedding over the summer.

Sadly, her grandmother was no longer able to fly. "Her heart was failing," Tara wrote on Facebook. "I knew in my heart she was trying to hang on to get there somehow."

Tara's powerful Facebook post also reflected on the last time she got to spend time with her beloved Nana. "When I said goodbye to her that night, I think we both knew it would be the last time we would see each other," Tara wrote. "She grabbed my cheeks with her hands, looked me straight in the eye and said, 'I love you very much.'"

Nana died 27 days later — four months before Tara's wedding day.

Fast-forward to the day of the nuptials, when Tara handed her family a photo album full of photos no one else had seen before.

As her dad flipped through the pages, he was so shocked that he assumed Tara had Photoshopped them.

As it turned out, the bride had been keeping a secret from her entire family in the months leading up to her wedding.

That past January, Tara told her parents she and her fiancé were going on a work trip to Miami — but it was all one big lie.
