Have you ever run into someone on the street and just known that they could be your best friend?
Maybe it's the Friends T-shirt they're wearing or the Starbucks latte they're drinking, but either way, you just have a feeling that the two of you could make great memories together.
Well, when mom Nikki Pennington spotted what she believed could be her future best friend on a recent shopping trip to Target, she was willing to do whatever it took to track her BFF down.
The second Nikki saw her potential best friend strolling the aisles of Target in the same getup as herself, she knew they were meant to be. But her could-be-BFF walked away before she could muster up the courage to say something!
Nikki wasn't willing to give up, though, and so this tenacious mom decided to make a missed connection post on Facebook, hoping to find the fellow mom she believes could be her "best mom friend forever."

Like any busy mom, Nikki Pennington often spends her free nights strolling the aisles of stores such as Target.
"We all know that’s where all moms go for a night out," Nikki wrote.

On a recent Target excursion, Nikki ran into a fellow mom shopping who she believed could be her future best friend. Instead of giving up on her possible soulmate, Nikki decided to pen a hilarious missed connection post on Facebook.

Naturally, the two moms ran into one another in the crayon aisle, with yesterday's T-shirt still on. Nikki wrote in her missed connection post:
You were at Target last night about 7pm in the crayon aisle. I was wearing my mom couture, complete with dry shampoo hair, no makeup, yesterday’s T-shirt, and yoga pants. You were also wearing yoga pants with flip-flops and a messy bun.

Nikki tried to get a glimpse of her future bestie's name on her Starbucks cup, but her fading vision failed her.
I tried to glance at your [Starbucks] cup to see the name of my future BMFF (best mom friend forever), but let’s be honest, at my age I’m on the verge of needing readers to see that far away.

Nikki carefully analyzed her soon-to-be-best-friend's cart and noticed all of the necessities: diapers, soda, wine, and chocolate.
Again, confirming my suspicions that we in fact were meant to be best mom friends.

At the end of the crayon aisle, the two moms fatefully ran into one another, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to spark the friendship — yet.
To the fellow mom in Target last night at 7pm, if you see this and recognize this story and my Starbucks drink, please know I’ll be back at Target again next week because let’s be honest, I live there.

Nikki concluded:
Maybe I’ll see you again — same time, same aisle — and this time we can wander around aimlessly in Target together for our moms’ night out.

“I’ve been getting amazing feedback,” Nikki told ABC News about the post. “So many fellow moms and women have been saying they actually met a best friend in Target! I’ve also had women comment that they have a hard time meeting mom friends, and this might be an option for them to meet a friend because they are always in Target, too!”
Here's hoping that the two moms can connect and become the mom best friends they're meant to be!
