14-Year-Old On Track To Build World’s Largest Lawn Care Business

At 14 years of age, Daron Taylor is not your quintessential ninth grader.

In addition to attending high school, this amazing Cleveland native is also a budding entrepreneur. Taylor founded D's LawnCare, his growing lawn care operation.

This teen started his business this summer with his little brother, so they could each stay out of trouble and earn themselves a bit of spending money in the process.

However, he soon became completely inspired by lawn care and the idea of growing his company well beyond its modest beginnings.

Thanks to a viral post, and an awesome social media presence — on Instagram and GoFundMe — this incredible teen has nearly reached his $30,000 fundraising goal. He hopes to use this new capital to buy more lawn mowers, bikes, trailers, and so on, to continue expanding his team and reach.

This incredible young man is laser focused on building his little lawn care service into the biggest landscaping company this country has ever seen.

Taylor described this business on his GoFundMe as "a company [I] started with my little brother to get some cash this summer and stay out of trouble."

Since starting his business, his efforts have gone viral, prompting the teen to expand his goals.

"My father help[ed] me setup an LLC so my dream wasn't just a dream, it was becoming a reality," Taylor continued.

He could really start visualizing that "[he] could actually own a global lawn care service that was family oriented and based on hard work."

So far, Taylor has already upped his game. To avoid having to cart around all of his materials on foot, this crafty teen saved up for a bike. After building himself a wooden bike trailer, he can now cart around all of his lawn care tools with ease.

As the teen explained in an Instagram video, "Well, I like cutting grass, but then, I have yards that [are] way too far," he said in the video clip.

"I don't like walking to push the lawn mower and weed whacker so, I saved up enough money to buy this bike right here, and I bought a couple of pieces of wood, and that's how I made the trailer and the hitch."

With encouragement from his friend, Deon, Taylor started an Instagram page, as well as a GoFundMe to raise more capital for his growing business.

He set a $30,000 fundraising goal, and in just 25 days, he's just shy of $26,000 — an amazingly successful start at fulfilling his powerful dream.

He hopes to use these new funds to buy more lawn mowers, bikes, T-shirts, trailers, advertising spots, safety equipment, and eventually, a truck so he can service the entire greater Cleveland area.

Taylor wrote of his astonishment at the incredible feedback on his GoFundMe, "Every donation I receive [brings] tears to my eyes, because I didn't start this company for fame.

"I started it to help me and my brother, so y'all donat[ing] y'all's funds to me shows that I'm working to achieve greatness, and that's all I want to do."

This young man can't wait to leave his mark on the lawn care industry.
