Lucas Hembree, an adorable boy in Knoxville, Tennessee, suffers from Sanfilippo syndrome, an extremely rare degenerative disease that robs children of their ability to function. Juno, a Belgian Malinois, was living in a shelter and only days away from being euthanized.
The Hembree family wanted a service dog to help Lucas, but the astronomical price made that impossible. Instead, they brought home Juno. I won’t ruin the video for you, but let’s just say it was the best decision they could have possibly made. Whether they’re trained service animals or not, all dogs form a special bond with their favorite person. I’m just happy that Lucas and Juno found each other. Please SHARE if you are, too!
