Bullies Shame Tia Mowry’s Son For Long Hair So She Explains Why He Cut It: To Look Like His Dad

Tia Mowry became famous with her twin sister, Tamera, for their roles on the 1990s hit sitcom Sister, Sister.

Today, the twins are 39 years old and living their own separate lives (but don't worry, they're still best friends).

In 2008, Tia married Cory Hardrict, and the two have a 6-year-old son named Cree.

For the past few years, Tia has faced criticism for letting Cree grow his hair out. Although her son is only 6, people are already shaming him for his appearance. Online bullies have told Tia that her son's hair makes him look too feminine.

On October 23, 2017, Cree got a haircut — and Tia took to Instagram to document the experience. She also clarified exactly why she decided to cut her son's hair, and it had absolutely nothing to do with online bullies.

Find out exactly what Tia Mowry had to say about her son's hair below!

Tia Mowry is ridiculously close to her family, and not just her famous brother and sister, but also her hubby and son.

Tia's son Cree is her world, and she and the 6-year-old are truly best friends.

Tia shares lots of pictures with her son on her Instagram account.

In the past few years, though, bullies have taken to the comments section to criticize Cree's long hair.

On October 23, 2017, Tia shared two videos and a photo on her Instagram, and it's very clear what's happening: Cree is getting a haircut!

Tia wanted to make sure all the haters knew that the reason Cree got his haircut had nothing to do with them.

Tia wrote:

Yes, someone got a hair cut. I just did a live video explaining why I decided to cut my son’s hair.

If you missed it, it's plain and simple. He asked me to.

As his mom, I’m here to nurture his thoughts and ideas and that’s exactly what I did.

He said he wanted to look like daddy and was very specific [with] how he wanted his hair. Someone is a very happy boy and that's all that matters.

In 2014, Tia shared the above photo with the caption:

I am proud to have a SON that embraces his natural hair 🙂 Hair length does not define your sex. Last I checked a penis and a vagina does.

Pick up a book, educate yourself, and embrace cultures outside of your own and maybe you will see that there are PLENTY of MEN wearing top knots and MEN with long hair.

Here's a shout out to all the moms who have boys and girls with natural hair! Live ON!

After his haircut, Tia shared a picture of Cree giving a thumbs up.

She wrote:

On November 5, Cree accompanied Tia to an event, rocking his new do.

Cree looks so great with his new hair style, but he looked just as adorable before!
