Tori Spelling was, without question, one of the most iconic teen stars of the '90s. Her role as the sweet (and very stylish) Donna Martin on Beverly Hills, 90210 was a major influence on teenage girls throughout the show's 10-season run. And while her career has progressed well beyond the bounds of Beverly Hills, California, Tori has maintained her reputation as one of the most approachable, relatable A-listers out there.
Part of Tori's appeal is that she's a celebrity who's willing to share her life with her fans: Over the course of their numerous reality TV shows — who could forget Tori & Dean: Inn Love? — Tori and her husband Dean McDermott have made public the highs and lows of their life together.
From relationship problems to financial issues, they've endured it all in front of the camera — and all while raising a family of five.
But there's one thing Tori did recently that did not resonate with her fans…
First, it's worth mentioning that Tori conceived her and Dean's fifth child after a very rough pregnancy with their fourth.
Tori was diagnosed with placenta previa when she was pregnant with her son, Finn, in 2012 and wound up spending 10 weeks in the hospital plus four on bed rest.
The actress called her fifth pregnancy "a total surprise" in a 2016 interview with People.
"But we always wanted a big family," she added. "I’m really excited."
Tori's fifth pregnancy wound up being a very happy and healthy one sans complications.
She gave birth to a little boy named Beau on March 2, 2017.
Tori and Dean's beautiful family currently includes Liam, 11; Stella, 10; Hattie, 7; Finn, 6; and baby Beau, who's just over a year old now.
Over the weekend, Tori took to Instagram to celebrate her post-baby body.
"After having my 5th baby I have to admit my body didn't bounce back the way it did with the first 4!" the 45-year-old captioned the photo. "But I've been working at it and eating and playing to live my best life and I feel like its showing! Back in a one piece minus the coverup or shorts finally!" She concluded the post with the hashtag #bodylove.
But wait — doesn't the image look a bit Photoshopped? What's going on with her waist? And isn't it a little hypocritical to edit a photo of yourself while promoting body positivity?
Fans were quick to comment on the star's picture and ask to see the real Tori, sans editing.
"umm photoshopping the f**k out of yourself is definitely looking for the approval of others," one person wrote. "Why not show the real body?"
Added another: "Why is this photoshopped?? If you're proud and comfortable you don't need photoshop hun, we as women need to empower each other not tear us down, much love and God Bless."
Tori later deleted the photo as a result of the backlash.
But Tori really *is* trying, guys.
Photoshop allegations aside, you have to give credit where credit is due. This avocado toast is one of the many healthy meals Tori's enjoyed since giving birth to Beau.
She's even gotten her family to join in! She recently made shabu-shabu with her kids to encourage them to make healthy food choices.
She's also partnered with companies selling diet and fitness supplements as part of her post-baby lifestyle.
And for what it's worth, she's been quite honest about the hurdles she's faced along her health and fitness journey: In this ad for Flat Tummy Co.'s appetite-suppressing lollipops, she owns up to the fact that she can't resist a bag of chips.
Could Tori's decision to (allegedly) Photoshop the picture be rooted in recent gossip?
Rumors that Tori is pregnant with child No. 6 began to circulate late last year after people thought they spotted a baby bump in several of her Instagram posts.
Pregnant again or not, Tori's got her hands full lately.
Tori and Dean celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary amid rumors that they've been enduring financial difficulties.
Tori was also the subject of a recent TMZ report that claimed she suffered a mental breakdown in March. (She never addressed the rumor.)
Here's hoping that Tori soon finds herself in a better place both physically and mentally. It's hard to be a hardworking mom of five in an industry where the drama never lets up.
