Why Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker Need A Halloween Proposal And Christmas Wedding

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker kicked things off in a major way back in January 2021 when multiple sources confirmed what the internet has been willing into existence for years: The two were dating, and they were super happy about it.

Since then, the scantily clad pair have paraded their love literally all over the world, and honestly, everyone is here for it. Now that it's clear things are for real, the question on everyone's mind is obvious: Are these two getting married or what?

Kourtney has often expressed her love for all things holiday. So with that in mind, here are 10 reasons why Kourtney and Travis need to go ahead and make things as official as possible this year.

1. Kourtney Kardashian seems fully at home within herself.

First and foremost, the biggest reason these two need to go ahead and make things super official is that from all appearances (and trust: there are a lot!), it seems like Kourtney Kardashian is fully at home with herself and within herself. Over the years, it has often felt like the oldest Kardashian sister wasn't completely being the person she's wanted to be, and it's possible Travis has coaxed her inner fancy-but-goth gremlin out in the best possible way.

2. They have been friends for a long time.

While their romance might still feel a little whirlwind and fast to some, the reality is that Kourtney and Travis have known each other for years. When news that they were dating broke in January 2021, multiple publications cited that long-term friendship as the foundation for everything.

3. They were already neighbors before they began a relationship.

On top of being friends, Kourtney and Travis were already neighbors when they decided to kick things off, which is helpful: It's unlikely they'll have any arguments about where they should live in the long term since they've both been happy in Calabasas, California, for years.

4. They support each other's co-parenting relationships.

Kourtney has three children with her ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick, and Travis has three children with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler. As such, the pair already understand a fundamental truth about dating someone with kids: The children always have to come first. They've also both been co-parenting with their exes for years — Kourtney and Scott broke up in 2015, and Travis and Shanna divorced in 2008.

5. We need even more glam-goblins-see-the-world content.

When it comes to a Halloween proposal, there is truly no better date! Kourtney has been outspoken about her love for the holiday for years, and together the two have a glam goblin vibe that is aesthetically pleasing, super hot, and honestly a lot of fun. I'm all in for a Halloween proposal with a black diamond ring while they lounge poolside at a Kardashian Halloween pool party. Come on, team. The public needs it.

6. A Christmas wedding just makes sense.

The thing about getting married during the holidays is that it's sort of been done, over and over again, but if there are two people who can put their own spin on things, it's Kourtney and Travis. In addition to Kourtney being a Christmas enthusiast as well, these two would probably plan the most lush, over-the-top, ultra-private, absolutely gorgeous holiday wedding, complete with a little magic sprinkled on top.

7. Kourtney has never been married before.

Sure, you don't have to be married to have real love, but Kardashian fans know that Kourtney's refusal to marry Scott after multiple proposals and three kids always stung a little bit. In hindsight, she obviously knew something we didn't (and that we all saw play out on our TV screens for years). How redemptive and healing would it be for her to get married now? The most!

8. Their kids would be thrilled.

While Kourtney's children aren't old enough to weigh in on the relationship publicly, it's likely they love Travis because Kourtney has always seemed like an excellent mother — exactly the type of person who would make sure her kids feel secure and solid about any relationship she's in. Two of Travis Barker's children, Alabama and Landon, have been super vocal about their support of the relationship. Something tells me everyone might enjoy a gigantic holiday celebration.

9. Kourtney has helped Travis overcome a major fear.

In 2008, Travis Barker was in a fatal airplane crash that killed four fellow passengers and left him with burns all over his body. He swore off flying after that point — until he met Kourtney. After talking about the places she wanted to take him, Travis made a deal: If Kourtney gave him 24 hours' notice, he would get on a plane with her.

Well, he did it. He later told People magazine how Kourtney is helping him heal: "It's still something very new to me, but having something that gives me the strength and hope to be able to overcome things that were so traumatic in my life, it just says a ton."

10. The vibe is just GOOD.

For someone who is just famously living life and feeling the vibe, Kourtney is sending out sky-high signals that she's enjoying both right now — and it needs to stay that way. Celebrity couples come and go all the time, but every so often two famous people make it work. Here's hoping this year, it's Kourtney and Travis.

Small request, though: Can we please come up with a better nickname than Kravis?
