If you ask me, Up is hands down the best Disney movie from the last ten years.
Even though it's a story about a man who's struggling to move past his wife's passing, it's also about that same man learning to find happiness again with the help of a young Wilderness Explorer and an easily excited dog.
Though Up focuses on the life of a widower after his wife has passed away, it's still arguably one of the most moving and heartwarming love stories of the 21st century. The fictional love story in Up can only be rivaled by the story of Nina and Gramps, two lovebirds who decided to model their long-overdue wedding photos after the themes and iconic images of Up itself!
With the help of Cambria Grace Photography and granddaughter-in-law Lauren Wells, Nina and Gramps finally got to take their wedding photos — 61 years later.
"[Nina and Gramps] have been married 61 years, have never taken off their rings, and remain the very best of friends," wrote Lauren. "They never got proper wedding photos, as their photographer stood them up 61 years ago, [so] we grandkids decided a photo album would make the perfect holiday present, and as such, the Up-themed anniversary shoot was born!"

On the day of their wedding, Nina and Gramps' wedding photographer never showed up, leaving them with no photographs of their special day.
As a gift for the holidays, Nina and Gramps' grandchildren surprised the happy couple with a long-overdue photo shoot to make up for the wedding photos they never got, with the movie Up as the inspiration!
"I thought it would make for a perfect styled shoot, so I used the movie Up as inspiration," granddaughter-in-law Lauren Wells told Style Me Pretty.
Lauren also noted that there was hardly any styling to do, as "Gramps is always wearing a bow tie, anyways."
Lauren and photographer Cambria Grace paid attention to every little detail when planning the Up-inspired shoot. They even made their own version of Carl's 'Paradise Falls' jar!
Since the day they got married, Nina and Gramps have remained "the very best of friends," according to Lauren. Even though they never got their wedding photos, the best friends got something just as special 61 years later!
All this shoot is missing are a dog and a Wilderness Explorer to be the ultimate Up photo shoot.
On her website, Lauren noted that Nina and Gramps were moved by the support their photo shoot received online.
"I know Nina and Gramps’ hearts were bursting too as [my husband] Matt read them each and every comment, meant for them, from kind strangers all around the world," said Lauren.
Even though their wedding photographer never showed up, things worked out in the end — or at least, 61 years later!
