Every once in awhile, strangers can surprise us.
Whether it's through an anonymous tip bomb or the actions of a Good Samaritan, it's always refreshing to hear stories about complete strangers doing something positive for one another.
An 88-year old vet found a note from a stranger on the windshield of his car. But that simple note impacted him in a way he never expected.
Bob Bradshaw of Omaha, NE, spent 14 years overseas, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a lieutenant colonel after 30 total years of service.
As such, his car has "disabled American veteran" license plates, along with a bronze star decal.
He parked that very same car in the parking lot of his dentist's office while he went in for an appointment on January 18.
When he came outside afterward, he found a white envelope on his windshield.
Upon opening the envelope, he found a $20 bill, along with a short message.
The message read: "Thank you so much for your service to our country. I appreciate all you have contributed to make the USA great. Please enjoy a meal on me. I know it isn’t much but I hope it helps you out! A friend."
"There's a lot of good people out there," Bradshaw says in the video below, before breaking down into tears.
He says the experience of receiving this anonymous note was humbling, and wants to send his own message to the person: thank you.
"I hope my comrades in arms can experience something like this," he says.
