Mom And Dad-To-Be Pour Cups Into A Huge Volcano For An Adorable ‘Science Experiment’

For new couples, finding out they're pregnant is such exciting news.

The piles of how-to baby books cover all the surfaces of the house, and there's a frenzy getting the baby's room together and ready for the little one to come.

Which crib is best? How long will Mom breastfeed for? Will the baby's crib be in Mom and Dad's bedroom? If so, for how long? There is an endless string of questions to answer, most of which Mom and Dad won't be able to figure out once they get into the swing of parenthood.

However, there's always that very first question: will the new family member be a boy or a girl?

Alana and Josh DuVall wanted to find out the answer to this question along with their entire family and friends. But they weren't about to put some balloons into a box or cut into a pink or blue cake, as we've all seen many, many times before.

Instead, they threw a luau party, complete with tropical decor, pink and blue leis for their guests to wear, representing their guess. But when it came time to find out the gender of the baby?

This is the coolest use of this simple science experiment I've ever seen, as well as the sweetest, of course. It's so nice to see folks being so creative like this.
