11 Baffling Discoveries Parents Made After Stepping Into Their Kid’s Room

As any parent can tell you, their little ones may seem sweet and adorable on the outside, but they can be pretty darn sneaky, too!

I know my brother and I would always have some sort of secret we tried to hide from our mom and dad, but it would never take long for them to figure out our not-so-clever ruse. Usually that was because we made such a huge mess with our shenanigans, but other kiddos out there have some serious stealth skills that left their parents scratching their heads.

There's just no telling what's going on in their tiny minds when they decide to hoard a single packet of mustard or get, um, creative with their interior decorating ideas.

"Poop. Poop everywhere. She's two and a half. When I woke up and went up to her room she was already awake smearing poop on the walls, floor, window, pillows. Everywhere. Thank god she didn't leave her room. She took a dump on the floor and also stepped in it… making poopy foot prints all over the place." – coocoocachoooo

"He's 7, and a month ago I found an envelope with the words "top secrt" written on it hidden under his mattress. I opened it and he had written all over a piece of paper 'my favorit color is PINK' over and over. His favorite color has been green since he's been 2. (Or so I thought.) We talked to him about it and he was afraid he'd be teased for liking pink. (We've just moved to a new area and adjusting to the new school has been difficult.) We talked to him about it and he now has a few pink shirts and we're looking to see if we can find pink toys that aren't girls toys." – Legen–dary

"We got a nativity scene as a gift we put out for Christmas. My daughter, who turned 5 yesterday, has been taking the baby Jesus and hiding him in the 2nd drawer of her dresser under her pajamas. This is the 3rd year this has been happening and she still does it. She has no answers or excuses." – Reddit user
