Dad And Son Slice Into Real Grenades To See What’s Inside

The old adage "curiosity killed the cat" warns us against investigating the dangerous aspects of our world. But what's life without a little adventure in it, right?

That's definitely how the father and son duo behind the What's Inside channel on YouTube feel about their investigations into the truth lurking inside items. What began as a simple school project for son Lincoln has blown up into one of the most popular series on the website. Luckily, neither of them had to worry about literally blowing up while completing the experiment below.

Not that this is the first time we've seen the duo dabble in items that most of us would run far away from. Lincoln and his dad Daniel have sliced into everything from rattlesnake tails to (empty) wasp nests. Still, most of us can't even hear the word "grenade" without feeling anxious — for good reason, of course. Even with all of their precautions, it's definitely not something they would recommend anyone else try on their own.

Using two different types of the explosives, a pineapple grenade and an apple grenade, Daniel places each under his power saw and starts working through the thick metal. He knew each one was perfectly safe considering they were purchased from Amazon, but he still made sure to check with his phone's flashlight before digging in deeper.

It's fascinating to see not only their results, but how much bonding the father and son enjoy with each new attempt.
