Every Christmas Eve, my family gathers together for one of our favorite traditions: playing a card or board game together! Things always start out calmly, but before long, the season's good tidings get thrown out the window while we battle it out for first-place bragging rights. After plenty of heated matches, I've learned to let my competitive side fade a bit.
While celebrating a different holiday, the Fourth of July, with her family, the woman below was not planning on holding back one bit as they launched into the Whisper Challenge. The game is one of the many pastimes popularized by Jimmy Fallon on his talk show with the premise that one person has headphones on with music loud enough to drown out the person across from them who is whispering a secret word or phrase. If they manage to stump their competitor, they win the point! It's a totally simple and often hilarious way to spend quality time with the family.
The round begins with Carly sitting across from her beau, Sean, who is holding what look to be the same normal cards she was given when it was his turn to wear the headphones. After futzing with the device for a few moments and making sure she really couldn't hear what he was about to say, Sean finally reads the message: "Will you marry me?"
At first, Carly thinks she's got it figured out as she guesses "Red Robin," but take a look to see her priceless face when it really sinks in!
