Every Monday, five-year-old Daniel Newberger waited in his driveway for the trash truck, and every Monday, Manuel was there to take their trash away and give Daniel a wave.
One day, Manuel parked his truck and asked Daniel's mother if he could give Daniel something. Out of the kindness of his own heart, and from his own wallet, Manuel had bought Daniel his very own trash truck as a gift!
What Manuel didn't know was that Daniel has autism, and finds it hard to connect with other people. By giving Daniel a gift just because, and showing that he cared, Manuel gave Daniel a lot more than a new toy! And to add to the good news, Manuel's company heard about his good deed, and is recognizing him for his efforts!
