Woman Messages Celebrity Crush Then Actually Goes On A Real-Live Date With Him

Jillian Sanders is a publicist who has met lots of celebrities through work, so although she used to daydream about a fast-paced lifestyle interacting with celebrities, as she got older, the excitement wore off.

Still, in a piece for Today, the writer admitted that some celebrities still feel "special" to her, which is what motivated her to reach out to a famous comedian on Instagram and ask him out on a date.

In the article, Jillian writes about how she noticed that one of her favorite comedians was in town in 2021. She then sent him a message on Instagram, thinking he would never see it.

She said she wrote: “You’re in Denver and I am such a huge fan of yours! I’ve listened to almost all of your podcasts, watched your series and, man, I feel like I just get you. Anyway, it oddly warms my heart to know you’re in the same city as me right now. Take care, Jillian.”

To her surprise, the star responded, so she decided to take a chance and ask him to meet up. "What are you doing tomorrow? Let’s get together. Don’t you want to have a conversation with someone who isn’t famous?" she wrote.

She wrote that at her age (almost 40) she wasn't as insecure as she would've been years before. She didn't worry too much about her appearance, and met up with the celebrity for lunch.

She wrote that after dates, she would often wonder if she would hear from the guy again, but this time, she didn't worry about that.

"We took a selfie, and I sent it to him when I got home. He messaged me that he really enjoyed spending time with me, and I believed him. At the same time, I knew that this most likely wouldn’t turn into anything more — and, in fact, I didn’t want it to. Maybe the old me would, but the new me knew better," she wrote.
